Hello I am Helen Fielding and welcome to my website

Here is a bit about my acupuncture history for your information.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss how acupuncture may be helpful to you or just to find out more about this ancient and very effective form of medicine.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

I have been practising acupuncture since 1984. I was first inspired to study Chinese medicine as a result of learning and then teaching taiji qian (tai chi) from the 1970’s.

Since then I have undertaken many post graduate studies. These include varied aspects of traditional acupuncture as well as contemporary techniques such as auricular (ear) acupuncture. While my training is deeply rooted in ancient East Asian wisdom, I studied European and Chinese Herbal medicine which I have been practising for over 20 years. I subsequently spent 13 years learning Tibetan medicine.

I have been involved in teaching most of my working life; this includes traditional acupuncture and herbal medicine, gynaecology and I particularly enjoy clinical supervision. Currently I am researching and writing about how acupuncture transmitted into Britain since 1959.

In clinical work I have a special interest in women’s health issues and fertility, respiratory problems, muscular skeletal dysfunction and finding the solution to unexplained pain. All of these are excellent subjects for Chinese Medicine.

Millions of people have found acupuncture to be a better solution than drugs or surgery. With a 3,000-year history, acupuncture successfully addresses acute conditions, chronic ailments and manages pain.
